General Italian
Group Classes

Our courses are designed to help you steadily develop your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills in a clear and progressive way.


All our teachers are Italian graduates with years of experience and specialised qualifications in teaching Italian as a foreign language. Their passion and expertise are well recognised in Dublin and beyond.


Each course follows the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), so you’ll always know exactly where you stand.

Framework
of reference
for Languages

A1 (Beginner)
Can understand and use everyday expressions and very simple phrases to meet basic needs. Can introduce themselves and others, ask and answer questions about personal details (home, family, possessions). Can interact in a simple way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

A2 (Pre-Intermediate)
Can understand common sentences and expressions related to familiar topics (family, shopping, work, local geography). Can communicate in simple, routine tasks requiring direct exchange of information. Can describe in basic terms their background, environment, and immediate needs.

B1 (Intermediate)
Can understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar topics at work, school, or leisure. Can handle most situations when travelling in Italian-speaking areas. Can write simple connected text and describe experiences, events, hopes, and plans, giving brief explanations for opinions.

B2 (Upper Intermediate)
Can understand the main ideas of complex texts, including technical discussions in their field. Can interact with fluency and spontaneity, making communication with native speakers comfortable. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and present arguments, advantages, and disadvantages of different options.

C1 (Advanced)
Can understand demanding, longer texts and grasp implicit meanings. Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much searching for words. Can use the language flexibly for social, academic, and professional purposes. Can write clear, well-structured, detailed texts on complex topics with strong organisation and cohesion.

C2 (Proficiency)
Can understand almost everything heard or read with ease. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources and present arguments in a coherent way. Can express themselves very fluently, precisely, and naturally, even in complex situations and with subtle shades of meaning.

Would you like to practise your Italian in a relaxed and engaging environment?

 

The Conversation Lab is designed for students who want to:

  • improve fluency and confidence in speaking

  • expand their vocabulary and learn idiomatic expressions

  • practise Italian in everyday and cultural contexts

  • interact in a small group guided by an experienced teacher

 

Lessons are built around discussions, role-plays, games, and practical activities to help you speak more naturally and spontaneously. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to move beyond grammar and start living the language.

 

Proficiency level required: Intermediate / Upper Intermediate / Advanced.

 

Our online classes run via Google Meet. Before the course begins, you’ll receive one link for the entire term.To keep everything organised, we’ll use Google Classroom throughout the course. After each lesson, class materials, homework, activities, and any important updates will be uploaded there.

 

All you need is a stable internet connection and a computer or iPad with speakers, a microphone, and a webcam.

Italian Exam Preparation

Please note that we are not offering specific group courses for exam preparation at the moment.

 

Our General Italian courses already provide an excellent foundation, as all our programmes follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

 

However, once you have completed the required level, we strongly recommend booking a set of private lessons before your exam. These sessions focus specifically on the exam structure, tasks, and assessment criteria, ensuring you are fully prepared to achieve your best results.

Prepare for official Italian certifications such as CILS (including CILS B1 for Italian citizenship), CELI, and PLIDA with expert guidance.

Our private lessons are fully tailored to your goals and schedule. You can start at any time of the year, with classes available Monday to Friday — mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers:

  • Beginners – build a solid foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic conversation

  • Intermediate – strengthen grammar, improve fluency, and expand everyday communication skills

  • Advanced – refine grammar in real-life contexts, polish pronunciation and expression, and explore idioms, culture, and nuance
